Despite his undying passion for filmmaking, the 27-year-old protagonist of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" stated that the entertainment industry is "not for me."
The British actor stated on Jay Shetty's "On Purpose" podcast that was released on Sunday, "Look, I am a huge fan of making movies, but I do not like Hollywood, it's not for me."
"The industry truly terrifies me. I am aware that I am a part of that company, and I appreciate my interactions with it.
Holland continued, "However, I am always looking for ways to remove myself from it so that I can live as normally as possible."
"Today, doing this [podcast] is a very rare occurrence for me," he said, adding that Shetty's platform felt like a "safe space" where he could be vulnerable.
Holland stated that several of his friends have "lost themselves" in the entertainment industry and that he fears the same fate.
"Perhaps I have a slight alcohol problem. So I resolved to punish myself by saying, 'I'll also do February. "I will take two months off."
Holland stated that he was "really struggling" after two months of abstinence, leading him to fear that he may have "an alcohol problem."
