Oral arguments were heard by the 2nd United States Circuit Court of Appeals in June of this past year.
On Tuesday, the court issued a ruling that declined to reinstate Hernández's claim based on a vote of 3-0.
In recent years, he has developed a reputation for being one of the most contentious umpires in all of baseball.
Hernández, who was born in Cuba and is now 61 years old, held the position of interim crew chief from 2011 to 2016.
