TV fashionistas face challenges! On July 25, Kelly Ripa had a wardrobe malfunction on Live With Kelly and Mark.
During the program, a bevy of cute puppies joined Kelly and her 52-year-old husband, Mark Consuelos. This week, Kelly returned to the stage with a black silk jumpsuit with buttons on the sleeves.
Maria Menounos replaced her for several programs last week. Kelly realized she was missing a button after the dog grooming part.
“I hope one of the dogs didn’t eat my button,” she said, looking down at her clothes. Mark said, “No, no, I’m sure it just came off."
Kelly jumped out of her chair when someone behind the camera pointed out the floor button. The All My Children alum yelled, "Let me get it," before running off to get it. Mark watched her leave the frame from his chair.
Kelly resumed her seat and continued the section like a pro. Kelly stated on Instagram that she was lightening her hair after the fashion hiccup.
“Divine timing for a fresh coat of paint,” she posted a lovely image on Instagram Stories after getting her hair done.
The talk show host feared she ripped the back of her dress open while dancing with Mark on April 18. While dancing with Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson, a string on her dress unfastened.
I’ve torn my dress. "I lost a shoe," Kelly laughed. Jenna, 29, reassured her that on-air mishaps are part of the job and that the show must go on.
