Golden State Warriors in 'win-win situation' over $128m star trade

NBA writer Mark Medina thinks the Golden State Warriors' transfer of Jordan Poole to the Washington Wizards before free agency might be a "win-win" for the player and the five-time NBA champions.

After a turbulent season, Jordan Poole got a fresh start in a new location after Draymond Green attacked him after a verbal fight.

The 33-year-old wasn't the only Warriors player that had issues with the 6'4" guard.

The New York Post's Belle Fraser stated that The Ringer's Logan Murdock revealed on The Bill Simmons Podcast that senior players like Klay Thompson didn't like Poole.

"All the established guys had some version of a problem with Jordan Poole, whether it was Klay ironically saying that Jordan doesn't pass the ball enough and shoots too much," Murdock said.

In exchange for 38-year-old Chris Paul, the 24-year-old was moved to the Washington Wizards on a $128 million, four-year contract.

Medina believes the trade allowed the Warriors to move on and gave Poole a fresh start in a new environment.
