Ezekiel Elliott detained at Las Vegas music festival following altercation

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was reportedly detained Saturday at a Las Vegas music event after allegedly shoving a security guard to the ground.

Elliott was apparently observed arguing with a woman in the parking lot of the Electric Daisy Carnival about 3 a.m., according to TMZ Sports.

Witnesses informed the gossip site that Elliott appeared to obstruct the woman with his body at one point during the fight.

Elliott and the woman were then observed conversing with other event personnel when the running back attacked one of them, got into the guard's face,

and used his body to shove the man aside before throwing him to the ground, according to TMZ Sports.

Footage from the scene showed Elliott being led away in handcuffs. According to the star's lawyer, Frank Salzano, his client was arrested but not charged with a crime.

"Security misconstrued and overreacted to the situation," Salzano told TMZ Sports. "He was handcuffed as a precaution." He was discharged with no charges.

He left Vegas that night and headed to his [youth football camp in Dallas] on Sunday."

It's unclear whether Elliott will face repercussions for the incident. He was suspended for six games in 2017 after charges that he abused his ex-girlfriend.
