Aaron Rodgers is being traded by the Packers to an AFC contender.

Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst may try to trade Aaron Rodgers out of the NFC to give Jordan Love a chance to start.

In December 2023, Rodgers will turn 40. Signs point to his deterioration. Love, 24, showed promise against the Philadelphia Eagles, completing six of nine passes for 113 yards and a touchdown.

Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report offered numerous trades for the Packers this summer, including one to make Love the starter.

The back-to-back MVP would be traded to the New York Jets for 2023 first- and third-round picks and a 2024 second-round pick.

Ballentine believes the Jets have many of the pieces to compete. “Head coach Robert Saleh is proving he can lead, the defense has been good, and they are 7-6 and on their way to a first winning season since 2015.

In this scenario, they give up between what the Broncos and Colts gave up for Wilson and Ryan.

Despite trade offers, Rodgers may not play for the Packers in 2023.

Rodgers has acknowledged to contemplating retirement. After receiving a huge contract extension, the 39-year-old quarterback returned for the 2022 season.
